The best $20 ever spent

Brett scored this tractor at a garage sale for Brock. Brock is a huge tractor fan and can't be happier with his prize. Brock goes out every day to "cut grain" and is gone for a couple hours until the battery runs out. He even has a trailer he can hook up behind it to carry his tools. He is a good little farmer. Life is good!

Paige's picture face

Poor Paige has been flashed by the camera one too many times. If the camera comes out, this is the face we get. I hope someday to get a good picture of her. She is walking and talking and getting so big. It is hard having her grow so fast knowing she is our last. I wish we could pause life sometimes and enjoy it a little longer.

First Day of School

Oh that beautiful, beloved yellow bus. As my children boarded, its friendly arm closed the door and the bus departed into the sunrise, through the middle of a rainbow on that crisp cool morning as the angels sang from above and a tear of joy wept down my smiling face. A diet coke found its way to my left hand and in my right, a people magazine. Heaven really is a place on earth.

Shelby the 5th grader!

Kesley the 3rd grader!

Brock's first day of preschool. He did not want me to be a part of this. I had to convince him that I needed to show him where his class was because he didn't know. He finally agreed to let me walk him to class only if I would NOT hold his hand. When we got to his classroom, he pushed me out and told me to "have a nice day".

Kesley's baptism

Kesley was baptized on August 1st. It was a great day. When I met her in the dressing room to help her change, I explained to her that she was perfect now and all her sins were washed away. She looked me right in the eye and said "Mom, there is probably like 100 sins floating around in that water."

Summer Nights

This summer has been such a beautiful summer. We have gotten so much rain and everything has been so green and pretty. I love to get the kids to bed and go outside and enjoy the quiet. I was out the other night and impressed with how peaceful and pretty it is here. I am so grateful for our space. The barley all around us is starting to turn. I love it. Our yard is coming along but we still have some work ahead.

*He loves his horses.
*He is squandering our inheritance on cruises.

Starting off the summer with a bang, or a bonk. Poor Brock got bounced too high on the trampoline and had to get 8 stitches on his chin. He is a tough guy and hardly cried for the stitches. When he was done, he told Dr. Adams thank you several times and to have a nice day. Last summer, Brock started off with seizures and ended with a broken arm. At least we are scaling down our excitement this year. (Let's hope anyway!)
